I have not been able to find any information on Kingston watches online. Were they just a generic watch company? I have found 3 Kingston watches on e-bay worth $300-$500. I assume that this may just be because of the material and movement quality and not the name? What country was the company from?

I have my grandfathers Kingston watch with original case and was just curiuos if it was worth anything, not that I would sell it. It is rectagular in shape with a couple rectangular "jewels" set into the face. Not sure if they are real, though. Would they tend to be real?

I will try to post a photo if you think there may be anything special about the watch.

Thank you for any information you may be able to provide,

Hi. There is no real incentive to put "kingston" over "ID" or Akli. So I'm going to say all Kingston is OK. "ID" watch conpany is a US case maker in all likelyhood, value of $300 or so with the box is in the ballpark. Looks like an early 1950s pc.

Best,
Zaf

I am looking for a general idea on a couple watches that I recently received. I cannot find anything on the internet for the one and the other I have been able to locate that the company does exist. The first one is a Kingston ladies watch. It is set in 10kt gold with rubies at each point on the band and also rubies and diamonds for the face of the watch. It is a swiss 17 jewel, as for the inners of the backside the only thing that I can make of it is 2/20/-5 and its just scratched like in there by the make not engraved, also has some sort of number 9265-- something of this sort. The band also says, pat. pend. made in usa. Could you possibly help me locate someone who can help with this, and the other one is a Benrus swiss watch set in 10kt white gold with 2 diamonds one at each point of the band. It is very vintage style. Oh the Kingston watch is also very vintage. The Benrus is a 17 jewel and inside it says Major W.C. Co. 10k rolled plated gold stainless steel back is what I can make of it. Any information you could give would be fantastic. I have looked everywhere except the antique stores which is my next move. Thank You Kindly Rhonda

It's going to be low values on both, the Kingston say the price of gold + $20-$50 and the benrus < $50. Antique stores may try to get more for this type of thing, but that what these realistically trade for.

I have a kingston 17 jewel watch that has a string for the band and a domed cover. It only shows the 2 hands and numbersbut not anything else .Do you think this is older than the 30s or 40,s?

No, I don't think it is older. If it were you'd expect 15 jewel movemets.
