At a recent watch show I noticed several chronographs with 1 jewel swiss movements. All were in need of repair, but were priced in the $3.00 to $10.00 range. I found these watches from the 1940s and 1950s adorable. Are these watches collectible and what are they worth in running order? Thanks! Bob Langer [email protected]

I'd say they are NOT worth fixing, since they're likely to only run for a while before breaking again! Unless I am mistaken, the 1 jewel ones like the "Cimier" brand, only appear to be chronographs, I'm not sure you can start/stop/reset them. They're always running.
