I have a book from my library and in the back there is a section on the value of certain cases. Can you please explain what these numbers are that are listed under "14K SOLID GOLD CASES"?

Size and Style
18S, HC, Fancy or Ex-Heavy

Thanks

You mean for pockets watches? 18S is a pocket watch size, HC is a hunter case, fancy is probably something that is engraved and ex-heavy, a case that's unusually thick.
