Hi! I bought this Hamilton watch for $500. It's marked platinum on the back, (10%IRID.PLAT.)and has 40 diamonds. I was told by the jeweler that it's late art deco. She also said it's a 30 movement...(what is that? I've never heard of it!) It'll cost $400. to repair it...is it worth it?

Your best bet here is to try to find the same movement in a gold plated watch. I think the value of this piece running well, is around $500, so $400 on top of that we'll put you in a bad spot.
