This was left to me by my grandfather. Arctos Horometer, clean, works, with manual. I cant find much info other than a pdf about an expo in the 50's. any idea on collectability and value?

That is an interesting watch. I would be curious as to what all the different markings mean and how such a watch was used in the field.

Probably not a very high value on a piece like this, unless it is solid gold. I would think that original instructions and paperwork would be important and add value.

Did a little more research on this and found out that is was German made and was introduced in 1956.

It does seem to have collectible value as a navigational tool, beyond the vintage watch market. A lot like the Edox Geoscope.

Looks gold plated to me, I think it'll be really hard to value that watch very highly. Too bad it isn't all steel.

I believe its plated also. the back appears to be steel....I will post a picture of the back later today. I do remember it says 40 micron something....and incabolic(?) on the back.

the center has an R and an N with an anchor between. below that are the letters ExSto ?
and last line has the letters DBP.

The first is a Longines but I can't seem to find this same style but with the 3 diamonds on the top & bottom of the body and a diamond in the winding shaft.
