Hi, Im new to watches and would like to get a nice vintage watch for occasionally wearing. i saw this watch and the seller is asking for $500. I couldn't find much info for this watch, hope you able to help up. TQ

Is this watch 18K gold? On these the hallmark is generally on the outside of the case. If so, then it's a decent buy at current gold prices. Also, does it have the inner caseback? If not, then walk, no, run away. The gold on these is very thin and if the inner case back is missing, the entire watch might fall apart. The movement is probably made in Switzerland by Landeron. It's a decent movement and a good watchmaker should be able to adjust it to a reasonable timekeeping standard. Good luck, gatorcpa |

The seller told me its 14k.. The inner case back still available everything running well. |

Yup, looks like a Landeron, not one of the most desirable chrono movements. So I agree with what Gatorcpa is saying, if it's a heavy case then buy it, if it's an ultra thin case, these are very thin with hollow lugs, so price is the most you should pay and it'll never really increase from there. |
