I recently bought a new automatic Linwood Viewmatic by Hamilton. I am quite impressed by its loosing only 1 second per day for the first 4 days of ownership. This must be an ETA movement, but which one? What are the stats for this movement. The beats per minute sound really high. The manual was very poor however. How water resistant is it? Is this a mineral glass, or sapphire crystal? Any help appreaciated. Thanks, Iain |

Any chance at a picture? The ETAs are usually marked as to which movement it is right under the balance wheel. |

That would mean I would have to partially disassemble the watch right? It does have a glass back, but I see no such markings on the movement near the balance wheel. That's funny because I own several Swatch automatics and they have the little ETA symbol on the caseback. All this says is Hamilton 25 Jewels swiss 6239 water resistant. I don't have a caseback opener. Iain |

Can you take a picture through the case back? |

My camera is not good at close up work such as this. On the internet this is about the best view of the back I could find follow this link: http://www.watchseller.com/hamview.html Iain |

Looks like an ETA 2824 movement. |
