my grandfather left me his hamilton wristwatch. from the little info i've been able to collect, it appears to be a Grant model. however, the case is sterling silver. everything i've found is gold. does this mean the case is not original? and if it is original, does anyone know how rare it is? i don't particularly care how much it's worth, as it will move on in the family the same way i acquired it. but i would like to have an idea of it's history. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I have sold Hamilton Grants in Silver, so the model does exist. Best,
