I am trying to find out approximately what year this watch was produced and an approximate of what it may be worth. The description is: ladies white gold hamilton watch stamped J 14kt L on the back. Inside stamped 1618762 17 Jewel Hamilton. Model number is 768, watch is set with eight round brilliant cut diamonds two weigh .05 ct each and six weigh 0.25 ct each. Case is set with with ten single round cut diamonds weighing .01 ct each. total weight is .35 ct. Watch is on white Speidel twist-O-flex band that is set with two round single cut diamonds weighing .01 ct. each. Any info would be great!! Thanksladies watch

Small ladies "cocktail" style watches will be worth very close to scrap value of gold + diamonds. The watch is probably from the late 1950s/early 1960s.

its a good watch dont sell it for free its worth a lot more its around 90 years old date of manufacturing 1917/1918

Sorry, but this watch is not from 1917/1918. First, the number 1618762 is not a serial number and, second, you are apparently trying to use it against a date list of pocketwatch serial numbers.

The Hamilton caliber 768 movement (not model number) in this watch is based on the Buren caliber 65. The Buren 65 is a small 5.75 x 6.75 ligne 17 jewel Swiss-made movement which was used in ladies "cocktail" style watches of this era. This movement dates to around 1960 as does this watch.

Bottom line: Zaf is correct in his estimate of the value and age of this watch.
