I am considering buying a Hamilton "Ashley". It is a 1948 model 14k YGF with a 982 movement #J365073. Case and dial are in excellent condition. Any idea of what a fair price would be. I checked the Finer Times vintage watch guide, but the Ashley wasn't listed. Thanks |

I spoke to Don, he says it's a $150 to $250 kind of thing, depending on condition, etc. |

I've come across several Hamilton "Registered Edition" watches on Ebay. I believe they are non vintage reproductions with quartz movements. Is this generally correct. Can you provide any additional information about them? One I found was made for the 100th anniversary of Hamilton in 1992, a version of the Piping Rock. Thanks in advance for any help. |

To Bill: re: Hamilton Registered Edition. Sorry too new for me to be of any help. Generally speaking after 1968 or so, anything bearing the name "Hamilton" will have no relationship with what collectors know as Hamilton. I would not consider anything from modern Hamilton collectible long term esp if Quartz. |

To: Pete Operation will be as in a standard pocket watch. It should be serviced every 3-5 years. |
