I have the opportunity to purchase a Hamilton masterpiece Thin-o-matic for $200. It's 10k Gold with a sweep center hand....beautiful minute/second markings and is in excellent condition. Does anyone have any experience with these? There is also an older looking Hamilton with a very clean dial (no markings except "Hamilton") and a sub seconds register with tear droped lugs. This is beautiful also for $200. I don't have pics and this all the info I can offer. What does everyone think? Any help is appreciated!!

I think $200 for just about anything that is solid gold, even 10k, is very fair.

Zaf - That's what I was thinking :-) Just wanted someone with more experience to confirm. I picked up a 50's Croton aquamatic day/date yesterday in Stainless which is VERY clean, almost mint. I purchased a blue leather strap for it to set of the deep blue face. I'm waiting on it to be lubricated. I saw those Hamiltons staring at me and had to ask for them to be put to the side. I'll choose one or the other ;) Thanks for your post!!
