I acquired an Elgin 17j Adjusted size 12 dated 1924(I believe) 14K.W.G.P. pocketwatch and am trying to see if anyone can tell me if they have ever seen or know's anything about this design(in the pic's to follow) of (lack of knowledge of terminology)the base that protects the stem and holds the watch chain ring? The base has a cool face etched into both sides(front and back) and it appears that it is wearing the crown(in both sense's of the word)? It is an awesome timekeeper and came with a solid 14k linked chain that is very very nice as well? Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks, Dave
