Around 1930...usually not much value beyond the gold content (if it is gold). |

Zaf, Do you know why people put square watch like the one above on black rope strap in the 1920's? They really don't go very well together. |

While black satin/grosgrain ribbons were typical of 1915 thru early-1920s, black cord bands became more common as original issue on the late-1920s thru 1930s watches. Though the cord bands may not be attractive by today's standards, it was en vogue back then. |
