I'm not sure which numbers you are referring to, I believe the sizes to correspond to the movement size, where each size is roughly a 0.033" or 0.84mm starting at size 0 at 1.166" or 29.62mm.

So a 10 size is roughly Size 0 + 10 x 0.033 = 1.166" + 10 x 0.033 = 1.496".

I have an engraved gold " dueber special" pocket watch. The name in it is General Stark.

I believe he was a general in the American Civil War.

My father gave it to me about 35 years ago. I believe that my Grandfather got it from an American soldier during WW1.

Any idea what it might be worth?

Sorry, I really do not know what a G. Stark owned piece would go for. Probably a lot more than the watch itself.

Hello: I have had a Dueber Hampden pocket watch for some time now, and am curious if information on it can be traced, or at least aged/time wise. It is a Dueber Special, and the number listed on it (below that, on the back side, is 5174270. My family always said it was one of my Great-Uncles, but never more than that. Any way to tell from this information. Any news would be welcome. Thanks.

I don't have any info on Dueber Hampden, sorry. Generally speaking, my expertise is in wrist watches only.

Zak:Am I misunderstanding your earlier posts above? You seem to be talking about it earlier over the past few years...let me know if I am asking this correctly. In the end, if you do not have any answers to my question, is there someone on the website who might be able to answer my question? Thanks, let me know when you can.

I answered a question regarding what the pocket watch sizes 10, 12, 16, etc mean.

I don't have any specific info on Dueber. On occasion when I can answer a question on a pocket watch, I do, but I don't know anything about Dueber sorry.
