AI have an ILLINOIS wristwatch with winding stem at 12o’clock. It has the original glass enamel dial. The crystal is glass in like new condition, no scratches, dings, or blemishes. The case is marked "10K Rolled Gold Plate", "Star Case Company", "Stellar". The case closes tight and it is in overall in great condition. The movement is marked "ILLINOIS", " SPRINGFIELD", "11 JEWELS". The case measures 32mm not including the crown or lugs. The watch winds nice, runs well and looks great. I wear it daily. Any idea as to a yeay that this was made and/or a value this watch would have?

Normally the position of 12 in proportion to the lugs and the winding crown where it is would indicate a pocket watch that had lugs put on to use it as wrist watch - but this is so small with just 32 mm that maybe not - I think it is a pocket watch originally. I have no idea about such watches just general knowledge about wrist watches, but from the look of it and the 11 jewels - maybe round 1905 - 10??

Looks to me as if a matching pocket watch movement has been fitted to a wristwatch

after ww1 the wrist watch caught on,the american mfg.did not make a wrist watch yet so they fitted their pendent movements to fit the new cases, using 0/s to 3/0 sizes

The watch is from 1913. I won't hazard a guess as to the
value...
