Hi,
I inherited this watch but can not tell if it is a real Jaeger-LeCoultre. It appears to be 40-50 years old. It has Jaeger-LeCoultre marked in a small font under the 12 on the front of the watch, but it seems to be a different style of font than the current logo now with the line underneath. It is like a script font. I'm wondering if it is an older font. The watch has only a serial number marking on the back--431725. It has a black face with gold numbers. Can anyone help me identify it? Is it worth getting fixed up and giving to my son? Thank you Thank you. watch

I think it is real, yes. Show us a photo of the movement to be sure. The dial however has been repainted as well as the sweep second.
