Everyone one needs one! Difficult part to find as it is probably the most fragile part of the entire movement.

Donor movement is the way to go. Scour eBay. If you find one, would be happy to obuy what you don't use.

Zaf,

I'll contact you if I run across a donor. Ironically, at our regular Sunday morning watch meet a few collector told me he just may have one from a movement he canibalized a few years back. The questions of the day, "Is the clutch wheel for the alarm set the same as the clutch wheel for the time set?" I'll have to investigate that one.

Thanks for that bit of information. I suppose my watchmaker would know that and he even suggested a swap as worse case scenario for getting the time function back on line but it didn't register right away - I'm kinda slow on the take up...I'm crossing my fingers that fella has what I need. My watchmaker found one and now my large case JLC Memovox is running strong again. Thanks Zaf for your assistance and advice.
