I got this old Jaeger watch from my aunt when she was cleaning out her attic. I was wondering if anyone knows the age/model of this one? It seems that the mechanism is broken, and needs to be replaced; can I get some opinions if this is a good idea, or if I will just have to let this one slide.

It is from 1972. There is a picture of it as item #1 in this Japanese catalog:

You should be able to have it fixed for a reasonable amount. The owner of this site is a whiz with vintage JLC's.
