I'd appreciate any help in finding out more than I know about this piece than I already do. The following is what I know as of now:

More photos at: http://flic.kr/s/aHsjzvwqac

-It may have been produced by the Jaeger instruments division (as distinct from JLC proper) but I haven't any hard evidence to substantiate this
-I purchased it from a seller who claimed to have purchased it on a trip to France 20-30 years ago and had never taken it out of the box
-When I rec'd it it was in perfect condition with box and (I think) papers as depicted in the photo set but in need of service and was running down too fast vis-a-vis a control stopwatch, after service it is running perfectly
-It is beautiful and awesome and I don't know anything about it and have not seen anything on pre-modern JLC pieces other than wristwatches

Would really appreciate any information anyone might have on this piece! Thanks!

I don't know much about these. Jager had a factory in Levallois, in the outskirts of Paris, and something like this is likely to have been made there.

Thank you for your response. Was that a watch factory or for instruments? Thanks!
