Hi All, I've been interested in watch collection since I was a kid and now, after 15 years, I can start collecting. I would like to collect JLC since my father is a great fan of these watches. I found a very interesting Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox from the 50's in my area. The seller mentioned that is a mechanical watch (working great, he said), 10K gold filled case and it comes with stainless steel band. There are a few issues that I am uncomfortable with.: First, it looks like the dial has been refurbished (poorly) and secondly, the location of the logo. It's located at the bottom of the dial. I am wondering if anybody knows if this model is authentic? I can get it for a more than reasonable price (350 dollars) and I would love to spend a little extra in buying the dial replacement. I'll appreciate any answer. Thank you!

missing the second hand (or is it shadowed be the minute hand?), poorly reprinted dial, bent lug. the strap is worth nothing. maybe better to spend more for a nicer example. |

Thank you so much for the quick answer! I will try to take the price down, otherwise I will wait for a better deal as you recommended. I am glad that I've found this forum! Cheers. |
