I am new to the forum and Jaeger. Hope to hear from expert whether the watch I found from ebay is an original, franken or replica. Would also like to know the date and model and calibre as well.

it has a number A777954 on the back of the case and 1296577 on the movement.

Its case gold but by looking at case back cannot figure out who made the case. The crown has no JL sign so my initial thought is it is a fake but who would use 18K gold to make fake watch?? Thanks in advance for your help.

It's a Swiss 18k LeCoultre case, see LC Hallmark with pine tree. The watch is genuine. The crown appears replaced and the dial has been refinished.

Neither. It should have a case reference number stamped on the inside of the case back. Not all watches had names.
