Hello all. Like many, I would love to get some expert input on a watch, in this case one I'm considering purchasing from a seller I consider reputable, but only based on my limited knowledge.

The item is described as a 70s era Master Mariner with a genuine JLC movement. Does this seem reasonable and what might be a reasonable price for a piece like this? Really appreciate the help you offer to newbies like myself!

Additional piece of info is that it's 10k filled. I've also attached a shot of the back (although not sure how helpful that is).

Thank you so much for any help you can offer! I've searched around on forums like this and others and haven't seen another Master Mariner that looks similar.

Sorry for the spam, but I should also note that in accordance with board policy, this is not a live auction, but rather a seller recommended by a family member (hence my potentially naive expectation of respectability).

I can't say if I've seen that mdoel before or not, but the movement is genuine. My gut feeling is that the rest of it is OK. It is a gold filled watch, so it's not worth a ton of money.

Thanks so much! One last quick question: I know it's hard to get an accurate value for a model you may not have seen before, but I have seen other gold filled Master Mariners listed in the 800 dollar range, is that what you might expect? Or would you think a lot less?

Sorry, I'm just looking to get a very approximate range so I can make my final decision

Honestly, for future collectibility, I'd go with steel or solid gold. If you must go gold filled, maybe $600-700 is a more reasonable price for that.
