I know nothing about watches , but I saw one that I really liked and I have been doing research on it . Turns out that it is an old (50-60) LeCoultre . I ended up purchasing it and now it is being sized and appraised . It is 14k , the movement and the inside of the case both say Jaeger-LeCoultre and fabrique Suisse . The number on the outside of the case is 781406 . As soon as my appraisal with the pictures comes back I will be able to post that info . If any one knows anything about this watch it would be appreciated . I called JLC North America and they said they would send the info to Switzerland For further ID. Thank You , Richie |

Hi, I have recently acquired a vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre "Club" 1960's. I am concerned whether this watch is a true Jaeger-LeCoultre . I read rasgc's comments and feel that I am in the same position as he is. The movement and the inside of the case both say "Jaeger-LeCoultre" and "Fabrique Suisse". I also have some pictures of the watch. If anyone could help me verify the autenticity of the watch it would be very much appreciated . Thank You, J.A.C. |

Hi JAC, please post a scan. (You can use the upload feature on this page) A reference number would be helpful too. Ilja |

I might add that the company who selled it to me is completely trustable, but at a low price, I just wanted to doublecheck. Thanks again |

Hi JAC, found it in a 70s dealer catalog: Ref. 3001.05 , diameter 36mm, lug size 18mm , Cal. 1906 (A. Schild movement). *Catalog page printed 12.4.69* From the scans I would say it is 100% original. The "Club" line watches were JLCs low budget series, mainly using A. Schild movements, thats why they sell lower then JLCs having "inhouse" movements. Ilja |

Thank you very much Ilja, I really appreciate your help. Seems like I'm getting a low budget series, though a reliable quality watch. Thanks again J.A.C.
