My dad left me these watches and I would like to know how I can identify them with the model and age, if possible.

The top one, I don't know the model. Is it automatic? The bottom is a Futurematic, circa 1955, appears to be a 14k gold case.

The top one is self winding, so I guess that means it's automatic? The case says it's 10k gold filled. I can't open the back to see what it would say inside. Affraid I would damage something since I'm not a jeweler.

If I did want to try and open the back to get more information, How would I do that? How do you get the back open?

Don't worry about it. I don't know the model. If it's an automatic, it's likely to be the caliber 881 movement made from the early sixties on.

Zaf

What made you think the case on the Futurematic was 14k gold. I brought it to one of those "we buy gold" places and they tested it and confirmed it was 14k gold. But there are no markings anywhere on the case. was that common?
