On a whim at Christmas time I bought a vintage Memovox World Time. Over the holidays I researched what I had bought and realized the authenticity of what I have is not clear. This forum has been very helpful reading. Here are the facts I have:
- Outer dial is signed JLC (black)
- Innder dial appears to be World Time (black)
- Movement is signed LeCoultre K825 (not JLC)
- Inside serial is 1870765
- Outer caseback signed "Memovox 882688"
- Inner caseback is signed "LeCoultre"
- Both crowns are signed JLC

I will post pictures shortly. Any thoughts on originality are appreciated.

Sounds like a USA market watch that has had it's dial repainted to appear like it's a black European market world time.

I have yet to see a real black dial world time. If someone has photos of one, let's take a look.

Zaf -- thanks for the quick reply. Could I email you directly for some advice? Thanks!
