I just purchased the watch in the photo for my husband and was hoping someone had knowledge about the time period/value of this watch? I bought it from a family friend who lives in London who thought it was from the 1940s but wasn't sure. Is it strange that it only has JAEGER written and not Jaeger LeCoultre?

Hi. The dial on this watch has definitely been repainted, so it is a little harder to say if it's 1940s or 1950s...what is the serial number on the back?

The back has two numbers:

832765
22436

Can the dial be fixed/is this worth valuable enough to be worth fixing up or given that it works you would recommend just keeping as is?
Thank you!
