Hi all, I made this thread 5 minutes ago but it was deleted...weird. I heard this is the best place to find some info on my JLC Memovox. As the watch was in for service the watchmaker sent me photos and I saw a v shaped notch above the 12 oclock position. I know many times this signifies a redial or restoration, however I've seen other Memovox dials with the same notch that were extremely dirty and obviously never restored. Would love some clarification. Thanks for the help! Pic below:

It looks original. The v-shaped marking is sort of a production help. |

Is that the same dial that was in the plastic? |

Yes it is. Thanks for the reply. The watchmaker said that the factory anti-seize was still on the screws that hold the dial to the movement and the movement itself looked as though it was never serviced. So I was 90% sure it was never refinished, but 10% is enough to keep me wondering. Thanks. |

It looks original though the luminous seems to have been re-applied. |

Strange. Why do you think the lume dots have been changed? Too green? The original dots are radium or what? I appreciate your help. So some of this watches did in fact have a v-notch from the factory? |

Unless it's the lume reacting to the lighting, the color is way too green. They look normal in the first photo. The original dots are very domed in appearance, not flat. In most cases they will have darkened by now unless the dial was stored in a drawer for 50 years. The V notch doesn't bother me. Some are like that. |
