Hello all, I recently posted a LeCoultre memovex watch that the forum estimated it's value between $800 to $1200 depending on condition. All original parts including crowns with a 825 movement and 10k gold filled. A local watch dealer told me that there were several models of the LeCoultre Memovex alarm made from the gold filled to a 18k gold during the 1950's. The gold and case being the important part. The movement as secondary. He said the watch would maybe on a good day get about $300 to $400 because it is the lowest end model.I always felt it was the movement and the conditon and originality of the case that was most important. I havent noticed any mention of model names on this site. Appreciate your input! thanks |

Sounds like this person is trying to buy the watch from you. A bumper automatic alarm, with cal 825, unless it's a parts watch is worth more than $400. |

Thanks Zaf, the dealer isn't trying to buy it from me, but the person who is, took it to him to confirm it is authentic. Considering the dealer, he might have other motives. This is the first watch I have ever sold, and, since my boss is the buyer, lesson learned. Isn't the movement much more important than the gold content? Are there actual model names to these watches? |

They will generally not have "model names" other than "Memovox" but will have case reference numbers, sometimes these are stamped on the insides of the case. |

I am a newcomer here. I am talking with a seller for the attched Worldtime Memodate. It is solid 14K YG one piece case numbered 2744-1-910/911 and 5699152. according to the seller outer dial is original and inner one is refinished. Movement is K911 signed LeCoultre and Numbered 1838689. Offer price is surprisingly over USD3,000...Is this so rare model justifying the price? Thank you for your advice in advance. ![jlcworldtime](https://www.classicwatch.com/discus/messages/622/7863.jpg) ![jlcworldtimecase](https://www.classicwatch.com/discus/messages/622/7864.jpg) ![jlcworldtimemovement](https://www.classicwatch.com/discus/messages/622/7865.jpg) |

If the inner dial is refinished, there is no way to tell if the watch started off as being a worldtime watch. I would not pay more than a regular 14k US market Memodate, which should more along the lines of $1200-1600. |
