Don't know if this is allowed on this forum, if not the moderators should just delete. I have personally ruined totally the minutes hand on a cal.478 in a very stupid attempt to reluminize it myself. No - you should not do that on a piece like that if you're not used to to it, and yes they are hard to find I have tried elsewhere. It was looking nice with the original lumnious paint for well over a year of regular use. Then it fell out and I took the movement out and removed the debris from the dial before it got into the movement, and then the trouble began... |

what do you mean "ruined them" ? You broke the metal frame of the hands? |

Original hands are difficult to find, but in case you are looking, the hole sizes ar 0.8mm for the minute hand and 1.30mm for the hour hand. |

julesborel.com has these sizes, but it won't be the same shape. |

Abba, wouldn't it probably be better to replace both hands and either auction off the auction off the hour hand or keep it for an original only spare? IMO the watch would look better if the hands match each other, so it would be less noticable. |

So what you're saying is that the same shape can't be found, then I agree that it would be better to change both - but I think I will stick to the old ones until an original comes drifting along rather than auction them. Maybe some one reading this have one and could be willing to sell, trade or whatever |
