This watch belonged to my grandfather and was damaged in a house fire. I just need to know if it is worth having it repaired. Any information would be appreciated.

A nice one of these is worth aorund $4000, so yes, I think it is worth repairing. We can do it if you'd like, but witht he extent of the rust, it's more of a project than a standard service.

Do you still have the hands?

I think it's going to be something in the $1000 range in total, including the dial refinish, hands, serice, etc. It depends you many parts it will require and the extent of the rust.

Hi, you can send the watch to me and I can run it by my watchmaker. The dial refinish takes a VERY LONG time, be warned. What do you mean check the price? You can check antiquorum.com for auction results, they probably have one in their database.
