Hello
I just wonder if somebody can throw some light on a calibre number. I've recently been left an early JLC Wrist Alarm. The serial number of the movement is 818519 and the cal. number is P489/1. I know that the 489 was the first Alarm movement but what I don't know is what the P designates. Also the /1 at the end.
Incidentaly, the case is manufactured in 18ct Pink Gold.
Any information would be well appreciated.

P = Parachoc shock protection and /1 means the 1st variant of the 489.

Thank you for that Zaf. Would you also know if there is any way of telling how many numbers were produced ?
Thanks.

About 50,000. So it isn't all that rare.
