I have a mint condition LeCoultre Power Reserve whose indicator does not go totally red when the watch winds down all the way and stops. Shows half red & half white. The watch works well in all other respects, keeping VERY accurate time. Could it be in need of a simple cleaning? If so or if it needs more, is this a tricky watch to work on because of the power indicator? I do have a very good watch repairperson who I trust & who is Rolex, Breitling & Omega certified. BTW, it's a great looking watch. Any idea what timeframe the power reserve watches are from? Thanks in advance for the info. |

This is absolutely typical of that model. I would not worry about it, you're lucky the indicator works at all! My advise would be to leave alone until time keeping becomes an issue down the road. Power reserves are from the early 1950s. |

Thanks! Only other question is, down the road, is this a tough watch to work on or would it be just another watch to a good repair person? Thanks again! |

The reserve can be tricky to make work right, it often drags against the dial, but other than that, it's a normal complexity bumper auto. |
