Hi All,

I have an old Jaeger LeCoultre, CLUB, at present I do not have a photograph but I can give a description and the numbers.

Calibre Number 1900 01
Serial Number 1173176
Model Number 200105

The serial number and model number are both printed on the back of the watch case, the serial number is directly above the model number.

I was not present when the watch was opened so I have not seen the movement. The jewellers who opened and serviced the watched for me thought that the watch was authentic but as it is old they were unsure. Jaeger LeCoultre UK would not touch it as it was too old and recommended sending it to Switzerland.

The watch is stainless steel with a cream circular face which looks like mother of pearl.
The movement has to be wound once very 10 hours but it keeps perfect time.
The second hand moves in a sweeping movement rather than a tick.
There is no date on the watch or alarm.
The numerals are all single bars; there are no numbered or roman numeral characters.

The only wording on the face is Jaeger LeCoultre with the logo above it and the word CLUB in capitals below it. At the bottom of the face below the 6 character it says Swiss made with a T on either side of this.

My estimate is that the watch is from the late 60's. I have contacted Jaeger directly about the watch but they have not replied. Any information
would be greatly appreciated.

Here is what I can tell you:
The "Club" series of watches were a less expensive Jaeger-LeCoultre series of watches that generally did not use JLC movements. From what you've given us, looks like you have a A. Schild caliber 1900 automatic w/date movement.

I don't know if the A. Schild movement serial number macth those made by JLC but if they do, the watch was made circa 1956. I don't think the Club series came out until the late 1960s, so this date is probably wrong.

All in all, the Club series with the A. Schild movements, isn't what most collectors are after, so it may not necessarily be worth sending it in for a hugely expensive factory service.
