I have inherited a LeCoultre watch, which was my Grandfathers. It says 14k Gold on the back and on

the face it says LeCoultre Automatic. The hands look as if hidden. Any info would help as I have no

idea about watches. Please see pics Thanks for any help.

Very interesting! The watch you have is called a "Mystery Dial" because of the seemingly floating hands. They are quite popular among collectors. There were a large number of styles (with/without diamonds, yellow/white gold, ladies/gents, different dial colors, different case styles, etc) of the LeCoultre Mystery Dial watches produced over about a 20 year period. Most were manual wind watches and the automatic models were produced in much smaller numbers. I have to say that I've never seen an automatic version like yours before.... and I thought I had seen them all. There is a manual wind version of your watch that bore the model name "Saturn", but I have never seen it in an automatic.

Would it be possible to get a shot of the back of your watch to see more of the case styling?

This one is definately a keeper. If you are going to start a small watch collection, this would be your flagship. The reason is, they are hard to find in that original condition and unless you are hurting for money, it would be a shame to sell that one since it came from your Grandfather.
