Upon his death in 1960 my uncle left me his watch. I would like to pass it on to my nephew. The only ID I can give you is inside the case. "Cased and timed in USA by LeCoultre. -02202. It is 14K gold, round, mechanical. Can you point me nose in the right direction for me to see if it has value and worth repair? Am told it needs about $100 worth of work. Thanks. Dick Nahman

A picture would be helpful, but it is certainly worth fixing for $100.

Zaf has a few similar watches on this site and you can find many more on eBay. That should give you an idea of value.

If you can get your watchmaker to take a digital picture of the movement, Jaeger-LeCoultre (as the company is now known) will be able to tell you the production date. Contact them through their website at:
