I have a gold geophysic complete with the original box and the leaflet that came in the box with the chronometer number on it, I was thinking of selling it about 6 months ago so I contacted Sothebys watch dept.and received a reply like I would have expected if I had asked to put a quartz Seconda in their next international watch sale, they said that they were not interested in watches that were worth less than 3000, as far as I can find out there were only 35 gold examples ever made and I would not think that many still have the original box etc.

I can make you an offer if you'd like, I'd need photos however, you can send them to [email protected] Thanks.

I'm not sure where you get your info regarding the production of the gold ones, but is is a lot higher than 35.

Best,
Zaf
