I inherited my father's LeCoultre Automatic Memovox watch. It has a stainless steel oval case, an oval blue face with a darker blue ombred inner dial, and the logo and day indicator at 6 o'clock. The "numbers" on the face are actually silvertone (stainless steel?) dots, and the two crowns are marked. I'm pretty sure the band, which is a Speidel stretch, is not original. It's ticking along, but something's rattling inside. I can't get the back off to read identifying numbers and won't have a camera to photograph it until Monday. But I'd appreciate knowing whatever you can tell me, including service recommendations in the Washington, DC area.

That's it exactly, down to the "22" in the date window. What can you tell me about it, and how do I set it's features?

The bottom crown at 4:00 winds and sets the time, just like a normal mechanical watch. The top crown, winds and set the alarm.

Thanks, Zaf! The photo you provided of the LeCoultre Automatic Memovox watch (oval blue face) was very helpful. Any idea how old this watch is and its approximate value? Besides a need for cleaning, a new crystal, and an appropriate band, it seems fine.

It's a late 1960s watch. Value is $900-1300, depending on condition, originality, etc.
