Here is a picture of my Polaris just back from Geneva. I bought this watch 6 years ago I never wore it coz I considered it too heavy. I looked at it a year ago and found it no longer worked. I decided to send it to the factory because the dial was damaged. It has returned looking very nice - new dial, inner disc, and hands. I was supprised they still had new old stock dials for this model. I also got an extract which they did not charge me for!! All and all the replacements parts and the service was very cost effective at under $900. I asked them not to polish the case and thankfully they complied with that request.

Hi, looks great. You sent it via JLC USA? What they charged you is unusually cheap!

It was via Richemont Australia. I can only put the price down to my boyish good looks and charm that must have impressed the young lady at reception. I doubt I could have gotten the work done locally for the quoted price, plus I would never have been able to access the parts.
