Hello,
I'd like some information on a JL watch that came to me with family items. Rectangular art deco style in 18k gold (Helvetia hallmark), mechanical, serial number A798572. The hours are indicated with slashes only, and there is no seconds hand; Jaeger-LeCoultre inscribed on the face. Any idea about the year it was made, approximate value (the face needs cleaning, but perfect working order)? Thanks

Ooops-scan is too big and I'll have to wait for tomorrow to shrink it, 'cause the machine is too noisy and it's past midnight over here.
Thanks for your attention

Looks like a late 50s or more likely 60s watch.
Check for movement serial#, than me can date it.
Should be worth $600 - $900.

Thanks,
The movement serial is:1367112. I wonder how I can clean the slight darkenings on the face. The movement runs perfectly and keeps good time.

The watch movement dates to late 1958. I'd avoid "cleaning" the dial unless you know what you are doing.

Many thanks-so the model isn't particularly valuable, but so practical that I think I'll wear it!
