I have just aquired a Jaeger lecoultre mans watch, which is in a gold case, with this information on the inside of the back cover. from top to bottom the information says:

12872, made in england, dennison, A.L.D. 390134.

It also has a birmingham assay with the letter B at the end?

On the movement itself, there is a number 678753, and i'm guessing this is the movement number?

Any information you could give me about this watch would be appreciated.

Thankyou.

Solds like a 9k case for the British market, dates to the 1950s.

Zaf,
I have two Futurematics that I do not wear very often. Should these be put on an automatic winder or will this damage the watch.
Also, I would like to find a port-hole model to add to my collection. Can you advise me on a price range for one in good working condition.
Thanks in advance for your response.

I don't see a problem using a winder. What kind of case for the porthole and is it LeCOultre or Jaeger-LeCoultre? prices have a huge range.

Zaf,
Thanks for the reply.
The port-hole is 14k gold LeCoultre. Do you have any for sale?

I think you're looking at $3-$4000 for a 14k port hole about half that for a gold filled one.

Hi Zaf,
I have a Le Coultre watch.Manual wind with three small pin size buttons around the edge of the case. There is a lunar thingy within a smaller second hand dial at the base of the watch face and watch has day and date at the top under the name LeCoultre. There is a third hand (date?) as there are two sets of numbers around the dial. Outer 1 to 30 and inner 1 to 12. Outside Back of case marked "10k gold filled D&A". Inside marked "Cased and tested in USA by LECOULTRE 352513". There are some smaller hand made inscriptions. 4667-E and ag3k and W2260 and 260621. All very small. On the movement "SWISS LECOULTRE CO" "SEVENTEEN JEWELS 17 UNADJUSTED". the in a small box 486/AW. There is a small FS adjuster and then metal. Any ideas about the watch model/date/value? Any info would be great. Regards Steve

Ok, please start another thread. If it's a 486/AW it sounds like the triple date moon, but please if it's a different watch, start a new thread. A photo always helps. Thanks.
