Hi Zaf and all others, I've taken the plunge and bought this JLC watch. It is in excellent condition and has very few signs of wear at all. The key reason for buying this was the - in my opinion - great looking and unusual dial design with long indices and "arrows" for quarters. Known details: - K883 automatic movement - Serial No. 1877107 - 18ct .750 pink gold case - quick change date - identical manufacturer stamp on lugs, case and bottom (see pictures, a pleasant surprise which I didn't know when buying the watch) - glass will be replaced with new JLC glass (already ordered) - dirt or imperfections seen on photos are on the glass only, dial is perfect My questions: - The seller claimed this model is from the 60s, can you confirm this? - What do you think this watch is worth? (just out of curiosity, I'll most probably keep it) Any and all comments are very welcome, especially yours, Zaf! :-) Thanks and regards, Chris PS: Sorry if I uploaded too many pics. And I couldn't get more than 1 pic into each post.

It appears to be a French market watch, I don't have any specific info on it, sorry. The Swiss cases would have been stamped with a case reference, but this doesn't have one. It is from the 1960s. |

By the way, the Eagle head indicates 18k, it's a French hallmark. |

Thanks a lot, Zaf! So you think it's all genuine? What do you think the watch is worth? Regards Chris |

BTW: Did you see the reference number 174081 on the outside of the watches case (bottom)? |

174081 is the case SERIAL number not the case reference number. I think it is real, but sold in France only with a French made case. All things being equal, these are worth less than watches with Swiss made cases. It's probably worth around $1000 give or take. |
