Hello,
One of my hobbies is watch collecting and repair.
I was not so long ago given a jaeger lecoultre cal 449, it used to be my grandads but since he's passed away I thought I would try asking here if anyone could suggest a production date.
The watch appears to be a cal 449 - looking elsewhere on this site, but other than that I know little about it.
The dial has a military look, with orange luminous hands and numbers. The dial is two tone, with the outside and sub-seconds being a slightly different colour (both pale), Marked;
"JAEGER-LECOULTRE" and "SWISS".
The case is crome plated with a steel back which reads on the inside; "ACIER INOXYDABLE" "LECOULTRECo SWISS"
"pour deboiter" "visser les clefs" "et" "tourner le mouvement"

and on the outside; "B" "340365"

The movement has the number "408992"

Thankyou
J Grainger

The movement dates to 1945-1946.
