Hello- I posted last week but I think that some how a setting has been turned on that doesn't let anyone post responses. Not sure why. But I have a lady's JLC wrist watch that I need to gather info on. I know nothing of about it except it was acquired in the early 90's, possibly late 80s. I sure hope this image posts up. I could only get a link code to come up last time. I sure hope someone can help me out with this pretty lil watch. WHAT THE HELL? I CANT get any images to post up. Tried hosting and uploading. WTF?? |

This forum can host images as a courtesy. Most don't even do that. As such they need to be small, if you can't get them down to a reasonable size i.e. quite small, then you'll have to host your pictures somewhere outside of the forum and provide a link. We simply don't have the resources to host 1000s of 15Mb pics. |

To me this looks more like a late 1960s/early 1970s watch. I can date it more precisely with a movement serial number. |

Thank you Zaf. Where would I find that number, by opening the back? |

It will be stamped on the movement. Might be small to see, so you may need to magnify. |

Zaf- How's this?
I also have an image of the inside of the backing. Should I post it as well? |

The movement dates to 1956. It could have been cased later, so it's definitely a late 1950s/early 1960s watch. You can post a shot of the insides of the back if you want. |

I don't know the model name, but it would be a USA market watch, case reference #703, dating to approx 1956, later if the movement was cased later (entirely possible), up to 1961-62 at the most. |

Right on! From the images that I have posted, any idea what it's value would be? The last guy to work on it mentioned it to be worth around $2,000, but that was 10 years ago, at least. Again, thank you for all your input and knowledge. Better face shot;

I think you would be hard pressed to get significantly more than the value of the gold and diamonds. Most likely under $1000. |
