i bought my jaeger le-coultre new in oct 1996. since then, it is my estimate that i have had to send it back for adjustment once per year. in 2000/01 it was overhauled by jaegar in virginia. again in 2003 it was overhauled at no charge by jaeger in nyc. i understand these watches will never be as accurate as a quartz. that said, it should be within -1 to +6 seconds per day, should it not? i recently sent it back to them requesting that they give me a new movement. i just received an est from them for a total overhual for $725. 700 plus 25 for shipping. is this outrageous or what? what recourse do i have? what options? |
