Greetings, I recently inherited the watch below. It was purchased on Sept 6 1966, and is still in the original box with all papers. No one in the family can ever recall my great-uncle wearing the watch, and it may well never have been worn (this is something my uncle would have done). It keeps very good time, but the date hangs up a little bit. I'm hoping that this will be fixed with a good professional cleaning. I would appreciate any information or comments on this particular model, including insurance value. Hi. I don't have any model specifics other than it's a Master Mariner. Many many case styles & dials had that name. Assuming you have an exceptional box & papers example, as a steel back model, I'd ballpark insurance value at $1000-$1200. |
