Hello all

I am new to this forum and was wondering if someone can pass on their wisdom about this JLC military style watch. The dial appears original, the case back reads "B 254723", on the reverse side of the case back is engraved "FAB SUISSE", the movement appears to be brass, engraved with serial 301535 and base plate 469A, probably representing cal.469A. There are no other engravings of arrows, letters or numbers. The seller of this watch tells me it was a WWII British military issued to Australia. After doing some research on this subject I am not convinced that it is at all. Any thoughts?

Many thanks

Thank you Zaf. It was obviously too good to be true!
