I am going to part with this old JLC. Should I pay to fix it before I sell in order to increase the sales price? Or should I just let the new owner take care of the cost? Movement # 1527930

Outside of case has the # 859406 There are no numbers or stamps on the inside other than the makers mark. Does that mean it is gold plated? Anyone?

Looks stainless steel to me. I'd replace the crystal and let the next guy deal with it as I suspect if you properly restore it, you won't get your money back.
