I have a 1940's (?) gold stainless reverso and am trying to find the date it was manufactured the number on the back is 29314.

I'd need the movement serial number...I can't date via case #s, but late 1930s sounds about right.

Thanks Zaf, but I don't want to take the back off. Any idea as to its value? It has a black face, a second hand, gold strap and runs perfectly.

Hard to say without seeing it since orginality & condition greating impact value, but lets $3000 and up to give you a ball park figure.
