Hi Paulo,

your fathers watch is a Reference E 873, caliber 916.
Its a 70s production and due to it "funky" style those sell between EUR 700 and 1200 depending on condition and if coming along its original box and papers.

Check out my post on this site '1970s Bumper', it's just a bit further down the page from your post. I think we have pretty much the same watch (at least the case looks identical). Mine is a calibre 825 which would make it late 60s but I believe most of these watches are calibre 916s from the 70s. I bought mine recently (on ebay) and paid £820 GBP for it. It is in very good condition with the original JLC steel bracelet but without the original box or papers. There was quite a bit of competition for the watch, the bidder that lost out to me was only £10 to £15 below and I was bidding in the last two minutes of the auction. Hope that gives you some idea of the price and desirability. I have a feeling that these late 60s/70s models are pretty desirable at the moment as children of that era (like me!) are getting to the age where we start to buy interesting watches. But that's just my view and I am as biased as a proud parent!
