Hello;

Is anyone familiar with a ladies Jaeger LeCoultre platinum watch with 94 diamonds? I have not seen any similar watches posted on this board.

From the picture, attached, has anyone run across similar JLC watches and can provide its year of manufacture or value?

The JLC watch that you have, a caliber 426 backwind model named the "par excellence", is actually not that unusual to see. These models were produced during the 1950s (primarily) in a variety of case materials and styles. Always solid gold or platinum and frequently with precious stones. You'll find at least 3-4 solid gold JLC backwinds on eBay at any given time and diamond-encrusted platinum-cased exmples such as yours show up several times each year. Unfortunately, they are underappreciated in the market and don't fetch the prices they should. They are stunning watches, but rarely go for much more than melt/scrap value of the platinum and precious stones. I have owned/sold a couple dozen of these backwind JLCs in the last few years.

The last platinum JLC backwind I saw at auction had almost 4 carats of large diamonds and didn't break $1,500 in price. I don't think that even covers scrap value. Plain 14 karat solid gold versions that were selling for $450-$550 a year ago are now having trouble fetching $350-$400. The current trend in womens (and mens) watches is for large watches and it seems to have had a big affect on the price of the small backwind models. Sorry. Beautiful watch, though.
